Fifty Days

That's right - it is now 50 days of being a non smoker. It has been a bit of a tough time around my homestead - birthday reflections, life assessment, 19 months of widowhood tomorrow - and the non smoking adds another dimension of stress to the mix. The one thing I know for sure, I will not smoke. I choose to not smoke everyday and I will continue to do so. My spirit and intention are stronger than old habits. It's really simple - I am a nonsmoker. Brings a smile to my face.

  1. I applaud you Suzann. I know how hard it is to quit...having done it myself, 34 1/2 yrars ago!!! And I was smoking 4 packs a day when I quit. Crazy, Crazy, I know. So I say Bravo to you and keep that determination close at hand...Each day away from The Deamon Weed, is a True Triumph, my dear...
And as our Birthdays get closer, there is so very much to ponder on, isn't there? How are your plans coming for your lovely Garden Dinner Party? On July 1st I will be celebrating my Birthday here in my home with old friends coming to share in this Celebration...and of course my "Virtual" Birthday Party on the 27th...here in the Blogesphere...Lots Of Fun! (I hope!...lol)

  7. I echo the sentiments of the others when I say, the ultimate act of love for yourself is to seek a healthy state. Sounds like you are doing just that and very effectively.

  8. My 28 year old son passed away three weeks ago in a terrible accident. The other day while sitting outside reading(ironically a book on grief that a close friend gave me) a Dragonfly landed on the page and stayed there for a few minutes.
    It gave me comfort.
