New Project

I am so delighted - I have been appointed to serve as the Interim Executive Director of a Native American organization in St. Paul. The organization operates a battered women's shelter (the offices and shelter are in the same building) and an outreach and advocacy program. Yesterday was my first day at the organization and the staff was gracious and welcoming. Inspiring work.

Of course that means my dance card will be really full for the next little bit. I will keep visiting your blogs and try to update my site as often as I can. More to come....

  5. Congratulations! It is so rare for one to be able to earn a living at what is really their passion. That's why I've enjoyed working for schools and non-profits.

  6. Congratulations are never late, so I send them your way. That's very important work. A writing friend Native American is revealing an amazing heartbreaking story of her family about which she only learned the truth when she was sixty.
