Thanksgiving Dinner

My friend V is arriving on Tuesday night - my friend photogirl is joining us for Thanksgiving dinner. Gratitude - giving thanks. I am cleaning, dreaming, counting my blessings and planning the dinner.

What are you cooking/eating for Thanksgiving OR what is your most memorable Thanksgiving?

  1. I'm glad your friend and photogirl are joining you for Thanksgiving. My sis (the one widowed in Aprll) is having a tough time with the holidays. She has gotten past what would have been their 40th anniversary.

As for me, I'm having a hard time getting my energy back from my travels, but like you, I'm bursting with gratitude.

    Any snow yet?

  2. Wish we could celebrate T'giving together, as giving thanks for the friends life brings us is core to our celebration. We will be preparing a sit-down feast for 34, and I am both excited and grateful. And another milestone on Thanksgiving this year - my 40th bday! Seems so appropriate. I am excited for that too. But I really miss our time together. I hope December brings me to the Twin Cities so we can steal at least an evening together. Sending you huge hugs and disses,
    Di

  3. Hope you will have a fine T G.
Here in Norway we do not celebrate Thanksgiving. Christmas is the big family event here.

  4. I hope your Thanksgiving is a wonderful one, Suzann...

Because of my Health Issues I cannot go where I use to go,---(Good friends with a BIG family and lots of children....) so I will be home and a friend and I may have some Thanksgiving Dinner here....Kind of a Delivery Deal....I must say because we are here in Los Angeles, you can get just about anything delivered, OR He may pick it up from some place that doesn't deliver, but has the Thanksgiving fixings...
I read just the other day that The Bel Air Hotel, (Here in Bel Air---A GORGEOUS wonerfully private, peaceful setting)---has a catering service now...You can get ALL the "fixens", the WHOLE Thanksgiving dinner, for 6, for $350. !!! I think that is pretty great, cause their dining room is a four star affair....I actually have had Thanksgiving Dinner there years and years ago, a couple of different times..It was FANTASTIC! And a BEAUTIFUL setting....!

  5. Suzann, my dear...Thanks for the Good Turkey Day Wishes...! And I hope the dinner you are planning is fabulous! Thanksgiving has always been a kind of Favorite Holiday for me....There is something about it that just feels really nice....And it hasn't been commercialized to the point of ridiculousness.....Have a truly lovely day, dear Suzann.

  6. I hope your Thanksgiving was lovely and memorable. I wrote about the question you asked at Small Reflections on 11-21 in a post entitled "Over the River and Through the Woods" ...
