Weekend Report

This winter has been the coldest since I moved to Minnesota in 1988. It has been so frigid that even the squirrels in my backyard are considering a move to Florida.

I snapped these photos this morning and again this afternoon in my backyard and from the office window overlooking the front entrance. It is beautiful outside, crystal clear - right now it is 15* - but it's about to get a lot colder in the next few hours. I am home, warm and cozy, ready to make a pot of slow simmered chicken soup and work on an art project.

I just noticed, the blogroll is back - great! Have a terrific evening.

  2. Alicia and I are bad news: it was 75 degrees in Redondo Beach today and crystal clear. Views of Catalina and Santa Monica and the snow covered mountains.

But, I know that those who love snow, or live in snow because they have to, roll with the punches. Yes?

  3. No new snow here for the last couple of days...but the temps dipped again....-3 below when I woke up this morning. These past weeks really have been brutal on all of us Midwesterners. The sun is out....but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference....stay warm sweetie....

  5. I read how cold Minnesota was. brrrrr. It was close to 50 today, first lamb born and it was up and bouncing so fast. Amazing how they are but then being prey species, they have to be ready to run from the beginning, I guess. Anyway glad it's not so cold here for the babies soon to be coming
