Summer Dwindling

I have been silent these past two weeks or so. It is really hot and humid here in Minnesota - more so than usual for this time of year. I have finally wrapped up my work in the homeless shelter while the work in the food bank is popping all over the place. Mother is struggling and I am trying to have a life in the midst of it all. :)

Can someone please, please tell me what happened to my ability to upload photographs on blogger. The icon to upload is gone from the toolbar at the "new post" screen. Is there some new place to find the upload button? I have photos to share and it is frustrating not to be able to do so.

It is supposed to cool down here in the next couple of days and I think we are all looking forward to the relief this weekend. I will do my best to create a longer post soon - there are some neat things happening in my life - I am reaching out to connect with new people in new ways....very exciting. More to come.....

  1. i don't know about the icon. maybe reboot? if i have computer problems i have to ask my son. i'm sorry to hear about your mom. my mother died when i was 20 and i still sometimes feel the overwhelming loss of all the conversations we could have had through the years. you are always in my prayers and every time i see an email from you, or a comment sending hugs and light, i smile. i look forward to when you get your icon fixed and can post your photos.
    wishing you much peace.

  2. Hi Suzann, I'm now using Windows Live Writer. That means I'm preparing my blogposts locally on my computer, when finnished I upload to blogger, review it (some adjustments may be done) then I publish. Easy to work with Photos.
Just look at my other blog:

Today, I will pick up our french friends and this afternoon we will have a party with nordic specialities. And tomorrow the OsloBG will open...

    hugs across the miles

  3. ((((Suzann)))) just wanted to let you know I was thinking of you today!

  4. Hi!
I was just passing through by way of my sister-in-law's blog, One Breath at a Time. Are you using the new editor in blogger? That is what I have been using and find that it is SO much easier than the old editor. Much more flexibility. If not, you might want to try it. It is under Settings, Basic, at the bottom of the page. Select Post Editor - updated editor.

In the new post page, the photo icon is just to the right of the LINK icon. It will allow you to download several photos at once using the choose button. Then you can add the pictures to your post in whatever order you want. You just click on one and it will be highlighted with yellow. Say OK and it goes into your post.

    Hope this is helpful!
    :) Ann
