Busy Weekend Ahead

Tonight is the full moon - maybe that is why yesterday was so incredibly weird. We were putting out a packet for a client Board of Directors' Meeting and everything we touched backfired. Finally, at 3:30 pm it went out. At the end of the day someone said, "it must be the full moon." Yes madam!

I have plans, plans and more plans this weekend. I have a date with a friend to go to the Farmer's Market in the morning, then going to pick up mulch and put it down at the duplex, then home to clean up and meet another friend for tea and conversation. Home for a quiet dinner.

Sunday, I am meeting another girlfriend for breakfast and then going to services at the Unitarian Church - I went last week and loved it. After church it is home to have a massage (last Sunday is was nice enough that I had my massage outside on my private side patio under the big tree). I hope that is the case on Sunday. Wait, wait, I'm not done yet. I am going to still another friend's house for dinner. Stepping out in this newly forged life - connected and having fun.

What are you up to this weekend. I am going to cruise around now and see how all my blog buddies are doing. Have a terrific weekend.

  1. Here is our huge list of things to do which spill over from weekend to weekend: we will work outside tomorrow doing some pressure washing on the patio and work a bit more on the flagstone pathway in the woodland garden area. at some point this weekend i hope we get to "mama mia" which looks like great fun! we are hoping for a play day at least half the day on sunday if we can pull ourselves away from the outdoor projects we have lined up. the weather is perfect so we enjoy being outside and getting things done before the winter rains begin again. we only have 6 more weeks of summer here! :( still have to restain the patio furniture with a wood preservative, add some gutter guards on one side of the house, cut and bundle pruned limbs for trash pick-up, transplant a large shrub and replace it with a small rhodie, add compost tea to the containers of bamboo, fertilize the perennial garden, use fungicide in the rose garden, create a new border bed (digging and soil amendment) where we will plant a blueberry and 2 azaleas when the weather is cloudier and rain is expected. we have 3 more large azaleas to plant elsewhere at the same time and some mulching to do before summer's end. so much to do and so little time!

  2. I'm so happy you have friends around and so much to do these days. I know how important that is.
We did have a wonderful trip around Yesterday. To Day the weather has turned back to normal. Afternoon showers. We had our starter outside on the Platform, but the main Dish inside. We did pick more Rasberries that we had room for in our Summer House Freezer.
And this is only half way in the season;))
Must bring the delicious berries to Town on Monday.

omg - I'm so looking forward to August.

    hugs

  3. Glad to read you have a busy weekend of activities. I had out of town plans this weekend and for about four more this summer, but unexpected events affecting friends have totally altered them. I'm chuckling in disbelief to myself as I write this, because at least the past couple of months have been filled with constant adjustments to the unexpected. My excitement now comes from these challenges and wondering what's next. So, I'm going to enjoy the weekend in my community doing whatever the spirit moves me to do.

  4. What a lovely ‘capture’ … mine are never quite so successful. Strange things sometimes do occur around the full moon. Sounds like some fun plans for your weekend. Glad you’re getting out and enjoying connections with friends. After a BUSY week, I'm hanging around home and catching up as best I can in preparation for another busy week ahead.
    Hugs and blessings,

  5. Your plans sound like fun. Mine are mostly around here. I did clothing shopping Friday though and got some new styles that please me a lot. I don't do it often and when I do, I buy a lot; so I don't have to do it soon again. The styles and colors are perfect for me in the store I am favoring currently, Kohl's. The week-end was all work oriented. We are getting the big hay bale supply for the winter. I don't have to do much of it but it does impact my week-end. I did fix lunch for the mini-hay crew. Today will mostly be fence fixing, I think.

  6. You were a pretty social butterfly Suzann...how wonderful. I need to do more of that actually. I tend to get bogged down with the mundane everyday things around me. This weekend however, I did go to my niece's bridal shower and saw some cousins I hadn't seen in ages.....WOW that was wonderful. Had a great time. Jory's conference, BlogHer, was this weekend in CA. It was exciting and wonderful...and sold out. I've been reading all about it over the internet....and still am. Hope you have a great week sweetie....

  7. My weekend was a really nice one, actually. A sweet lovely young couple who I have known for probably 25 years, came by on Saturday for a very sweet extended visit! I actually "married" them, almost 20 years ago...Then Sunday, another friend came by who had a belated Birthday treasure for me...So, it was a fine weekend and Monday I had another WPNDERFUL visit with a very very old friend...THAT was The Best!

Glad you are getting out and about Suzann...It sounds like your 'mew' life is full and fun!
